Bacon and cheesy indeed. These puff pastry triangles are so easy and fast to make, I don’t even know why I bother writing the recipe, maybe because sometimes we need reminding that the best things in life are easy and requires very little work. And because my children absolutely love these, for a warm welcome home snack when they come out of school. (in the unlikely event the’ll be some left at the end of the day, they make a perfect addition to the school lunch box ).
What ingredients you will need:
1 pack of puff pastry; 1 egg beaten, a cup of grated cheddar, 1 pack of bacon slices.
Preheat the oven 180 degrees Celsius
On a baking tray, unroll the puff pastry sheet. Brush it with half of the beaten egg.
With a pizza cutter, cut the pastry in 12 big squares (or 24 bite sized ones if you feel like fiddling with food). Sprinkle half of the cheese. Starting at a corner of the tray, fold the squares once to form triangles. While folding, place half a slice of bacon in the middle.
Brush the triangles with the other half of beaten egg, sprinkle with the rest of the cheese, place small bacon slices on top. Pop the tray in the oven, Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot or cold.
