Leonardo da Vinci – Italian Renaissance pundit; expert in various fields; considered to be the most diversely talented person ever to have lived; widely known for his painting of Mona Lisa, a woman with a mysterious smile; only fifteen of his paintings remain today the others were either ruined by his experiments or were not completed. He was a very detailed painter who used his knowledge of anatomy, light, botany, and geology to portray human emotions. His habit of purchasing caged birds and releasing them adds to his extraordinary nature.
